Description: This graduation certificate was awarded to Olek Milman for his completion of classes from the private Tarbut School in Stolin, Poland. (now Belarus) This school was run by the Tarbut Association. This document was one that the Milmans were able to save and keep with them during deportation. It would later aid in proving their identity.; The Tarbut Association was based on Zionist ideology and focused on Hebrew and Zionism in its teachings. Tarbut Association schools were found in Poland, Lithuania and Romania during the interwar years.
