"Francis Rawdon Hastings, Baron Rawson, of Rawdon, in the county of York, so created, by patent, March 5, 1783; a lieutenant-general in the Army, acting Grand Master of the Free-Masons Society, and trustee of the Free-Masons Charity, President of the Masonic Benefit Society, and a Vice-president of the Society of Naval Architecture; Earl of Moira in Ireland. Born Dec. 7, 1754"
