Speranza and Osias; Rachel and Oscar

Speranza Siegler (née Weissman) was Paulina's sister,  (also spelled Speranta, based on Romanian spelling in which the 't' is pronounced tse).  Speranza was married to Osias Siegler.  Speranza and Osias had four children, Fabian, Alexander, Yoshka and Bitza (Beatrice). All four children were married and had children.  Fabian had a son, Jerome.  Bitza had a daughter, Ruth and a son, Michy.  Read more about how I connected with Bitza's granddaughter (Ruth's daughter) below, and then in my story hear more about my meeting in Tel Aviv with Yael and Orli, Ruth's daughters.

Oscar was Paulina's younger brother.  Oscar was married to Rachel. Oscar likely lived in Piatra Neamt. Oscar died young before the Second World War, and we do not have any information about Rachel.

April, 2021: I have discovered more information about Speranza, Osias and their descendents. While I was updating my family  tree in the "Ancestry" website a link to a website in Hebrew in "My Heritage" popped up for Yoshka Siegler.  I looked at the details and Yoshka's mother was "Tikva", meaning "hope" in Hebrew, or Speranza!  The owner of the website is my  newly found cousin in Israel, the great-granddaughter of Speranza and the grand daughter of Speranza's daughter Bitza.  I learned that Bitza was married to Dov Berkowitz and they had a daughter Ruti, and a son, Michy.  I learned that "Yoshka" was "Josef", Alexander was "Sandu" or "Sandor" and Fabian was "Faibush" or "Fabi".  At some point Sandor first went to France and then Israel.  The grand children and great-grandchildren of Speranza and Osias live in Israel today.
