Above this plate there are notes in pencil about this book, presumably created by a librarian. Below this plate, there is a library ownership mark that reads "University of Victoria Library" and has the University's logo above the text.; Inscription to Long Ago that appears on the recto (right) page of this book. The handwritten text reads "I give this June day to Ms. Gordon Bottomley the inside of this book. Michael Field June 5, 1908." The date appears at the bottom of the page while the message to Ms. Bottomley is at the top of the page.
