Photograph of a brown plush toy monkey by Jacobia Dahm for NPR. The toy monkey is 11.5 cm tall, 4 cm wide, and 5.5 cm in depth, made by the Margarete Steiff GmbH. The body is a worn brown plush. The hands, feet, and face are a tan felt. The internal stuffing is straw. The monkey is held in a seated position by an inflexible wire skeleton. The toy is missing both hands and the end of its right foot. The face is in excellent condition and both glass eyes are intact.
