DHSI 2021 is the best possible place to announce the creation of Kashallan Press as publisher of literary works by celebrated author Celu Amberstone, including the release of new titles as well as the re-release of her previously published novels and nonfiction books. With the assistance of a community fellow project from Electronic Textual Cultures Lab, Kashallan Press will be releasing one of Celu's books in ebook format in June, to coincide with DHSI 2021. Other books will soon follow, and print copies will be available, too. In the late autumn of 2021, look for audiobook editions of these books also from Kashallan Press. Audiobooks are particularly important to Celu, who is legally blind. She wants her books to be accessible in this way, and as affordable ebooks as well as printed books. Celu's books, both her novels and her nonfiction, are strongly influenced by her Cherokee and Celtic ancestry. She's not the first person to find epublishing and ebooks to be empowering.
