Ann Rowley (née Antje Bras) immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands with her parents, Hendrik and Grietje Bras, and her two brothers, Henk and Hans. They arrived in Halifax on July 20, 1950 on board SS Volendam and settled in Ontario. Her two married older sisters, Rika and Gerda, remained in the Netherlands and Henk returned c. 1952.
