Kelp in Amorous Coils Pin Down the Pacific Inspired by the line "kelp in amorous coils appear to pin down the Pacific", this paper quilling piece explores feelings of apprehension (emotion and acquisition). The novel also uses this tension point. The contrast of the delicate curling and unfolding (wavering) kelp beds holding down something as vast and uncontainable as the Pacific is what I hoped to capture in the coils of my paper quilling. Portions of my decoupage were used as a base.
