We acknowledge with respect the lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking peoples on whose traditional territory the university stands, and the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. Power to all forms of anti-colonial resistance, wherever, whenever.

Rowan Watts recently received his BA double majoring in English Honours and Theatre from the University of Victoria. Rowan is a Lead Research Assistant for the Visualizing Braided Narratives Project, and during his undergraduate degree, was a Senior Staff Editor for the Martlet Independent Newspaper, a Lowens Fellow, a JCURA Scholar, the Managing Editor of the Albatross, Vice President of the English Students’ Association, and played Hason in Luis Alfaro’s Mojada (Phoenix Theatre).
